SourceBenefits was started by John McAlister in Columbus, Ohio.  With over 30 years of experience in working with individuals and small business owners and agents, John brings knowledge, integrity and solutions to the problem of dealing with the financial realities of today in a systematic, integrated way.

John has a BS from Murray State University where he majored in Business and minored in History, Education and Military Science. He has been a stock broker and career agent with two leading insurance companies. He has over 30 years of experience in working with individuals and small business owners.

In 1986 John sold his first Long Term Care Insurance policy and has seen LTCI develop over the years.  He is experienced in all aspects of LTCI:  Individual and Multi-life.  John is on the Board of Directors of Insurance Advisors, Inc. and through that affiliation he has access to all major LTCI carriers and in-house expertise in life insurance and annuities as well.

He is been active in the Columbus Chapter of National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU) and has served on the Board of the Columbus Association of Health Underwriters (CAHU). He is active in his city of Gahanna as a City Councilman.
